"Journeying together to share our Christian faith"

The First 100 Years

Part I - Lowden and its Church

In 1986 St Peter’s was celebrating the centenary of the Church of England community that began its life in the original St Peter’s Church building in Lowden. At that time Jack Garner, a long time member of the Church and a past Church Warden (1961/73), produced a booklet to commemorate that fact.

It is thought that the narrative of Jack’s history of Saint Peter's Church might be of interest to those who have accessed our web site.

Because of its length it is in six parts. You can navigate either  from this page direct to each part or from each part to the next one.

The complete booklet can be obtained for a donation to Church Funds (minimum  £1.00)  by sending an e-mail  with your name and address.
